What you'll do :
As the lead for chromatography-based method development, you are responsible for using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and LCMS in polymer analysis. Your role encompasses leading chromatography-based activities for polymer compendial testing throughout Baxter's product lifecycle, from exploratory studies to new product development and sustaining support. You hold ownership of annual quality control for Lessines manufactured PVC and non-PVC films and containers.
In addition to internal testing, you coordinate external testing, including gas barrier properties and routine materials compendial testing. You plan, write, and implement study protocols in a timely manner, driving laboratory operation and process improvement.
Your responsibilities also include maintaining the laboratory's reagents, materials, samples, and equipment in good operating order. You ensure lab operations align with general and specific environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.
What you'll bring :
- PhD in the specific field with 3 years of experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry or master degree with 5 years of working experience in chromatography and MS.
- Proven record in analytical skills and problem solving as evidenced by peer reviewed publications or patents in previous work
- Strongly experienced in using MS softwares such as Empower and Mass Hunter etc in method development and technical investigations
- Independency in molecular structure elucidation based on MS data
- Experienced in polymer analysis in composition quantification especially in organic molecules such as additives and residual monomers even residual process aids using pertinent techniques
- Good knowledge in pharma and medical regulatory requirements including EP, USP, ISO and ICH guidelines
- Comfortable to switch gear between GMP activities and R&D/Exploratory/Investigational as well as innovation activities in the lab adopting the right tool set and mind set required.
- Excellent communication with colleagues in problem statement, project management and updating outcome to the management
- Autonomous, critical thinking, hands on, drive progress and lead by the best example.
