A total of around 120 people work at the headquarters in Muttenz near Basel and the subsidiaries in Beijing, Shanghai and Mumbai. Our many years of experience and in-depth knowhow in process engineering, design, international project management and procurement have made us the world market leader in the field of caustic soda treatment and recycling. To support our process engineering team at our headquarters in Muttenz/BL we are looking for an Process Engineer
Main tasks
Main tasks
- Process design and calculation of the plant and sizing of the individual key process equipment within the plant (evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, columns, etc.)
- Preparing energy and mass balances, PFD and P&I diagrams
- Evaluating operating data from commissioning and compare with the sizing data
- Developing existing processes further and define new processes
- Participating in HAZOP studies, SIL analyses or technical meetings
- Commissioning at customer sites occasionally
- Finding process solutions for chemical issues/problems
- Technological support for the sales team in design & sizing of the plants
- Successfully completed studies in process engineering or chemistry with focus in plant construction and process engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in process engineering (thermal processes preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and structured work style
- Target- and solution-oriented attitude
- Business fluent in English (written/oral), knowledge of German and French is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Excel, Addins, ASPEN
