About Us: Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD), headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is focused on helping make the world a healthier place by bringing the benefits of trusted pharmaceutical brands to much broader patient populations – in the developed world and, particularly, in the fastest growing markets. EPD brings value to its patients and customers through a growing portfolio of high-quality established pharmaceutical products and by building country-specific portfolios of trusted products to suit local patient needs.
We are at the forefront of launching innovative Biosimilars and complex therapeutics in emerging markets. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the timely and successful execution of these critical programs, contributing to our growth targets and global impact.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated MBA Intern to support the EPD supply chain organization on key transformational projects. This role involves evaluating and selecting planning systems, simplifying and automating supply chain processes, and outsourcing non-core operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

-
Supply Chain Operations: Define core and non-core activities within supply chain operations (including customer service, logistics, procurement, and documentation). Focus on identifying and implementing next steps for non-core activities to streamline processes.
-
Long Range Planning: Drive the long-range planning process for one of the key brands to ensure supply security over the next 2-8 years.
Expected Learnings:
-
Strategic Planning: Gain experience in evaluating and selecting planning systems for a global organization.
-
Process Optimization: Learn to identify and implement process improvements and automation within supply chain operations.
-
Project Management: Develop project management skills through leading key transformational projects.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, planning, and supply chain teams to achieve project goals.
-
Supply Chain Strategy: Understand long-range planning processes and their importance in securing supply for global brands.
Qualifications:
-
Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on supply chain management, operations, or a related field.
-
Strong analytical and project management skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
