For our headquarters in Glattbrugg, we are looking for a part-time EFB Administrator (50%) to manage and oversee our Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) systems. We seek a highly organized and tech-savvy professional who will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of both EFB software and hardware. Reporting directly to the Nominated Person (NP) as required, you will support flight crews and the broader flight operations team, ensuring seamless and safe operations.
Your main tasks
- Administer and maintain all aspects of the EFB system, including hardware and software updates, configuration management, and security, under the direction of the NP and in accordance with EASA requirements
- Schedule and execute regular updates for EFB applications, navigation databases, and operational manuals, ensuring compliance with both the NP’s directives and EASA regulations
- Ensure EFB systems meet all aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA), preparing and submitting compliance documentation to the NP
- Provide first-line support to flight crews for EFB-related issues, escalating complex issues to the NP
- Develop and deliver EFB training materials and sessions for flight crews. Inform and coordinate with the NP and report compliance-related training matters to the to the compliance department when necessary
- Maintain and manage all EFB-related documentation, including policies and procedures, ensuring updates are coordinated with and communicated to the NP
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive information on EFB devices
- Liaise with software and hardware vendors for support and communicate any significant issues or updates to the NP
- Prepare required reports for the CAA, ensuring that all EFB systems and operations are fully compliant with current regulations
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Aviation, IT, or a related field preferred; experience with EFB systems or IT administration is a plus
- Proficient in MDM platforms, EFB applications, iOS/Android systems, and basic IT troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate/Azure Logic Apps and Microsoft Power Apps is a plus
- Clear communicator with excellent organizational skills
- Effective in a multicultural environment, adaptable, and proactive
- Maintains confidentiality, handles pressure well, and has strong problem-solving abilities
