Programme Overview

We believe that early career talents are an essential and vibrant part of our community. The Early Careers Programme provides an exciting opportunity for participants to get a feel for working at the Forum, bringing in fresh ideas and gaining valuable real-world experience.

The positions we offer are best suited to bachelor’s and master’s program graduates, with 1-2 years of previous professional experience.

Conditions and benefits of the Early Careers Programme

  • Full-time onsite employment contract of 6 months at a World Economic Forum office in Geneva, Mumbai and Beijing

  • Program start dates between October 1 and October 31, 2024

  • Monthly gross compensation of CHF 4500 (salary and medical allowance) / INR 91600 (salary) / CNY 12500 (salary)

What you will do 

As a participant in our Early Careers Programme, you will have the opportunity to work within specific functional areas, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to impactful projects. Throughout the programme, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals and develop a diverse skill set that can accelerate your career. 

Below are the different functional areas where you can work and develop your expertise: 

  • Community and stakeholder management - Engage and maintain relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders, utilizing various communication platforms and activities to ensure effective collaboration

  • Project, content and policy management - responsible for research, project management, and content development to support various strategic initiatives, partnerships, or regional and industry contexts

  • Marketing and communications - dedicated to strategically promoting Forum and Centre initiatives and engaging global audiences through high-impact content

  • Data and analytics - responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making and strategic planning around Forum and Centre initiatives, or to support the development of research and flagship reports

  • Technology innovation and digital success - Drive the development and adoption of technologies and digital strategies to enhance the Forum's initiatives and maximize the impact of global collaboration

  • Events programming and management - Design, organize, and execute global Forum events, ensuring the facilitate and advance effective dialogue, collaboration, and agendas

Additionally, you will be able to apply and develop these functional skills within one of our thematic areas including:

  • Forum Centres (Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Energy and Materials, Financial and Monetary Systems, Health and Healthcare, Nature and Climate, Regions Trade and Geopolitics, Fourth Industrial Revolution, New Economy and Society, Urban Transformation)

  • Industry and private sector engagement – responsible for fostering collaboration among industry partners, facilitating the exchange of insights and strategies to shape global, regional, and industry agendas

  • Business development and account management – managing partner relationships and driving portfolio and account growth by aligning the Forum's objectives with partner capabilities and interests

  • Organizational enablement (Finance, IT, People & Culture, Public Affairs, etc)
