The opportunity
The Global Sub-Network Lead for Manufacturing Technologies is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the global manufacturing technology sub-network. This role involves strategic planning, innovation, and leadership to ensure the effective integration and utilization of advanced manufacturing technologies across designated facilities.
Additionally, the Sub-Network Lead provides direct support to routine production operations by driving initiatives related to projects, upgrades, and issue resolution, ensuring minimal disruption and continuous improvement in production processes.
The position aims to drive operational excellence, enhance productivity, and support the manufacturing objectives within Sensor & Cartridge (S&C) Operations.
As a member of the agile team, the MSAT Sub-Network Lead believes in servant leadership.
This role serves as the customer proxy, responsible for defining activities and prioritizing the backlog to streamline the execution of sub-network priorities.
The Sub-Network Lead is heavily involved in backlog refinement, preparation and moderation of planning events. The Sub-Network Lead ensures prioritization with stakeholders is made from the customer perspective and contributes to the business vision.
The final alignment of priorities is made in the team together with other Sub-Network Leads. A Sub-Network Lead is expected to embody the Roche operating principles.
Operational Excellence

Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics, implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Strategic Planning and Leadership

Develop and implement a strategy for manufacturing technology within S&C Operations, standardize and optimize manufacturing processes across designated sites, and collaborate with senior leadership to align manufacturing technology initiatives with overall business goals
Innovation and Technology Integration

Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging manufacturing technologies and trends into existing processes, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Global Collaboration and Communication

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between sites, provide guidance and support to local manufacturing teams, and lead multiple teams in a matrix structure, as well as establish and lead global communities of practice to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organization
Talent Development and Management

Mentor and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing technology professionals, promoting professional growth and skills development within the team
Budget Accountability

Manage and oversee the sub-network's budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources, while monitoring financial performance and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
Who you are

You have an advanced degree in Bachelor's in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, Master's preferred

You bring 5+ years experience in manufacturing technologies/operations, with proven leadership in managing complex projects and teams, preferably in medical technology or pharmaceuticals

Strong expertise in manufacturing technologies, troubleshooting, and supporting routine production operations (e.g., projects, upgrades, and issue resolution)

Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in highly regulated industries

Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration in a matrix structure

Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a proactive and innovative approach

Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (verbal and written), willing to travel up to 10%
