The Data Governance Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and workflow.
Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and
overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves
weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter,
prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes
informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by
influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.
This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others.
Responsibilities:
- Support the BoW prioritization and balancing to ensure allocation of the financial resources with strategic alignment of priorities across various areas
- Acting as key facilitator for the planning and distribution of work, negotiating priorities, and managing cross-area demands and redistribute resources where needed
- Monitoring progress and adjusting priorities as required based on emerging needs, change in strategy or external factors
- Escalating financial opportunities, risk and issues and mitigation plan to enable leadership to make data-driven timely decisions
- Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting
- Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise Data Governance strategy roll out, including new Data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework
- Produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes and practices
- Determine requirements for and prioritize development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes and practices as needed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
- Requires basic commercial awareness
- Strong ability to interpret numbers, ratios and key performance indicators (KPI) to support sound decision-making and maintain the integrity of the financial processes
- Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools and Project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and regulatory knowledge. Executive level communication will be required as well.
- Experience working with financial estimates, forecasts and project financial controls
- Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Attention to detail and proactive approach to identify potential opportunities, risks / issues
- Analytical and problem solving mindset with the ability to think critically and challenge assumptions (e.g. challenge assumptions and ensure accurate financial reporting, interpret financial data, ratios and KPIs)
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence decision making
- Time management and organization skills to handle multiple assignments and deadlines
- Proficiency in MS-Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of EDW, PTS and @IC Investment are a plus.
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills. Previous experience in project management a plus.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
