As a Mortgage Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Julius Baer employees in Switzerland finding and applying for suitable mortgage products and services. You will be the entry-point for all mortgage related requests of our Julius Baer staff and support them in analyzing their financial capacity, determine property values and structuring mortgage loans for their self-used residential properties, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Your goal will be to act as a trusted advisor to our internal clients, act as 1st line of defense and being a sparring partner to our underwriting / 2nd line of defense team. On top, you will be responsible to market the product & service internally and improve the service together with the dedicated Julius Baer employee desk team. In some circumstances and as capacity allows you will also be involved in client situations and with tasks beyond the role related to employee mortgages.
IHRE AUFGABEN

Take-over responsibility for servicing of an existing sizable Mortgage portfolio with the objective to grow such further

Carry out hedonic valuations of properties in Switzerland

Analyze financial capabilities of clients (mainly employees), structure the loans and assess other associate risks to finally prepare the corresponding mortgage requests

Meet clients (mainly employees) and assist them through the mortgage granting processes

Ensure that all mortgage loans comply with banking regulations and legal requirements as described in policies in place

Proactive support to improve the way we work, processes & quality improvements and market the service

Build and maintain strong relationships with other Credit teams, Mortgage officers, Julius Baer Real Estate Team and Relationship managers

Support the JB Real Estate team in sourcing clients and mandates
YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor's degree or commercial degree (Fähigkeitszeugnis) with relevant additional education

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Swiss mortgage lending (preferably retail clients)

Strong understanding of mortgage products and underwriting procedures

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Interest in Swiss real estate and knowledge and experience in mortgage financing in the French-speaking Switzerland or Ticino is considered an important asset

Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in German and English; French a/o Italian is a strong plus
