You will be employed at the University of Lausanne, Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) and your research will be conducted within the Competence Center Corporate Data Quality (CC CDQ), a leading European research consortium and expert community in the field of data management. As member of the CC CDQ research team, you will play a key role in driving the co-innovation activities on one of the following areas:
- Data Excellence for AI and Analytics: AI-readiness of Enterprise Data
- Enterprise Data Architecture: Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Knowledge Graphs
- Data and AI Governance in the Era of Regulations

What is key about this position?
Your mission:
Your daily tasks on the job
- review the current state of research and practice, analyze data-related challenges in multinational firms as well as emerging technologies and trends.
- develop innovative concepts, methods, and tools for data management.
- engage with practitioners within the CC CDQ community to present, discuss and evaluate your research findings, ensuring they have real-world impact.
- contribute to the academic field of information systems by publishing articles in top-tier journals and presenting at prestigious international conferences.
- support teaching activities, including supervising projects and Master theses.
Deine Mission
Your qualifications:
- a passion for and demonstrated experience in data, analytics and AI, especially in fields such as data quality, data architecture, semantic layer, data catalogs and metadata, data and AI governance, or business intelligence.
- strong interest in exploring data-related challenges in multinational firms and understanding their AI use cases, IT landscapes and platforms.
- a Master’s degree in IS, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management (with minor in IS or business analytics), or a related field.
- excellent analytical and communication skills.
- good writing skills and fluency in English; German and/or French is a plus.
- internships and/or professional experience in relevant areas.
