Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Digital Solutions (ADDS) is responsible for the oversight of all JJIT and vendor-owned systems specific and/or adapted for Medical Affairs Delivery Unit (MA DU). The ADDS will partner with MA DU functions to ensure the voice of the business is translated into system and data requirements which drive productivity, efficiency and measurability. The ADDS will support operationalization of the MA DU Digital Solutions & Data Integration Strategy, ensuring all MA DU study types (Interventional Studies, Non-Interventional Studies, Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS), Research Collaborations, and Managed Access Programs) are optimally supported by future-proofed fit for purpose solutions.
In addition, the ADDS will support implementation of the MA DU Data Foundation, ensuring data from MA DU systems is harmonized utilizing robust information management and data governance principles. The ADDS will act as an ambassador across the organization to support development of a unified single source of truth for MA DU, elevating MA DU data as a key strategic asset and enabling Analytics & Insights at the core to drive productivity, efficiency, and a forward-looking proactive risk management mindset.
The ADDS will collaborate extensively with GD, MAF, Data Sciences, R&D Quality, and Legal functions at a global and local level to ensure effective oversight, monitoring and measurement to drive MAF related activities and objectives.
Principal Responsibilities:
Business System Ownership (60%)
- Responsible for the life cycle management of one or more MA DU systems.
- Responsible for embedding user centricity at the core of our system development strategy, embracing design thinking methodologies and collaboration to enrich user experience.
- Responsible for supporting implementation of the MA DU Digital Solutions & Data Integration Strategy.
- Responsible for representing MA DU at relevant forums to ensure enterprise oversight and governance of MA DU relevant systems.
- Serve as a liaison between MA DU and internal teams to ensure system alignment with current and future business needs.
- Develop business cases for system enhancements, securing buy-in and alignment from senior leadership.
- Proactively monitors system performance to identify systemic risks/issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Responsible for the compliance of all MA DU related systems, ensuring they meet regulatory and company standards.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for relevant MA DU systems.
Data Unification, Analytics & Insights (30%)
- Responsible for supporting implementation of the MA DU Data Foundation.
- Responsible for ensuring data from MA DU systems is harmonized utilizing robust information management and data governance principles.
- Define reports, metrics and KPIs which drive measurement centricity and performance measurement in alignment with MA DU and MAF strategic goals.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to minimize risks and enhance organisational efficiency.
- Address and mitigate system gaps and risks through collaborative efforts with key business partners, JJIT and cybersecurity teams.
Change Management & Implementation (10%)
- Support implementation of change management plans for system updates and enhancements.
- Ensure comprehensive communication strategies are in place to inform all stakeholders of upcoming changes.
- Design and deliver training programs to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems and features.
- Monitor user adoption rates and feedback to adjust change management approaches and principles as required.
- Collaborate with GD, R&D Quality, JJIT and Legal functions to develop and review SOPs for systems and processes.
Principal Relationships:
Internal: MA DU LT, Therapeutic Area (TA) Leads, Delivery Operations (DO), Digital Solutions & Operational Excellence (DSOE), GD, JJIT, Global Clinical Operations (GCO), R&D Quality, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Data Sciences, and other J&J enterprise sectors, as applicable.
External: External contacts include but are not limited to external service providers, operational committees, industry peers and working groups.
