Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the Global Procurement Vision to Shape Supplier Solutions that will Transform Healthcare.


• Support a team of sourcing managers with key internal and external data analysis to facilitate smooth strategy development and implementation plan for the sourcing of specific packaging sub-categories that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the relevant business partners and deliver the maximum value.


• Support the team with monthly and yearly financial analysis aligned with business cycles.


• Support sourcing managers and the leadership team with information, data and insights to support shaping the future technology choices and related supplier landscape for the specific sub-categories in scope.


• Utilize insights generated from market research and industry trends to drive a mindset of current tactical optimization and new tactical innovation.


• Prepare and execute RFQs for complex sourcing decisions, including reviewing data submitted by suppliers to formulate alternative sourcing scenarios.


• Support strategic supplier relationships by collecting and reviewing relevant KPIs to effectively monitor ongoing operations.


• Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of efficient approaches and solutions.

Approximate Percentage of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

•       30% - External and internal data analytics to support development and execution of Category Strategy.


•       20% Monthly financial analysis and reviews (variances and inflation) including yearly financial business cycles.


•       30% - Collect, prepare and verify data sets to engage with the external market via MEPs (Market Engagement Process).


•       10% - Monitor and report risks in supplier relationships and utilize key insights to support the development of the long-term procurement vision and strategy.


•       10% - Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes, policies, guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and Business Operating Principles.
