We are looking for a technically versed and experienced team lead for our analytics team which serves the category management area. A successful candidate will not only be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of analytics engineers and machine learning engineers, but will also be contributing to the technical output of the team. Your responsibilities
- Lead a data team of ~6 alongside the product owner, guiding analytics and machine learning engineers, while actively contributing to various initiatives.
- Help maintain and further develop and shape our various category management related products (e.g. profitability, provider reporting, performance program for brands, provider order reliability)
- Develop the team's hard and soft skills, ensuring motivation, growth, and well-being.
- You are responsible for the technical aspects of our products including code quality, system architecture and technical planning. You are a sparring partner for the team for architectural and conceptual discussions.
- Ensure the team's output aligns with the company's strategic objectives and key results.
- Constant learning and gathering business know-how on how the category management processes work and evolve over time.
Your skills
- 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer or data scientist, with a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams and familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Experience with ETL, data modelling, data analysis and reporting using BigQuery, Dataform, and Tableau. Initial experience bringing models into production is a big plus (being heuristics or ML models)
- You are an expert in SQL (preferably BigQuery) and have a good knowledge of Python.
- Familiarity working with OLAP tools like Cubes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical understanding, and ability to handle complex scenarios independently or in a team.
- Fluent in English and good German (at least B2).
- Feeling comfortable with constant change is one of your strengths.
