As an Application Specialist, you will:
Provide Level 2 Application Support for critical applications.
Troubleshoot and maintain applications, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the client's application environment and collaborate with 3rd-party vendors.
Handle Incident Management, Service Request Support, and Problem Management tasks.
Perform Operational Change & Configuration Management, System Administration, and Validation.
Maintain Knowledge Management, Service Asset & Configuration Management, and contribute to the Continuous Improvement Process.
Manage Release & Deployment, handle License Management, and engage in Proactive Monitoring of applications.
Respond to and manage application outages and maintain accurate Application Documentation.
Be available for possible shift work in Central European Time (CET) and Eastern Standard Time (EST), including 24/7 on-call support when required.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, computer science, informatics, or a related field
Experience in a similar role, preferably within a global IT environment and/or GxP environment
Technical overview and understanding of OS, Cloud infrastructure, Databases (SQL queries), Middleware, Network, Storage and Backup
Ability and willingness to learn new technology in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of ITSM processes, ITIL certification is a plus
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
Analytical skills, with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive process improvements and automation
Ability to work in a team but also independently on assigned tasks
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Experience in a similar role, preferably within a global IT environment
