As a Digital Manufacturing Specialist, you will be crucial in driving the adoption of digital solutions to optimize plant operations through new solutions implementation such as TrendMiner, Braincube & AI tools. You will be the main point of contact for providing training and coaching on digital data-driven solutions to the teams in the factory. You will experiment, deploy, and utilize these solutions in collaboration with the Application Group, Technical Units & Switzerland digital manufacturing teams.
Additionally, your support will extend to all factory departments, leading by example in using digital tools and providing tailored solutions. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure data accessibility and quality.

A Day in the Life of a Digital Manufacturing Specialist

• Project management
  • Lead end-to-end project management of digital data-driven solutions, overseeing a cross-functional team.
  • Develop project charters, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
  • Define and align success criteria with stakeholders and ensure they are achieved. Monitor and manage scope changes.
  • Provide regular progress updates and final reports.

• Implementation
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and collaborate with the Application Group, Technical Competency Unit & Switzerland digital market team to address them.
  • Engage key stakeholders in the factory to ensure successful implementation of experiments.
  • Monitor and evaluate the value and results delivered by the solutions.

• Training, coaching, and support
  • Enhance the skills of the factory team, from operators to factory managers.
  • Organize tailored trainings, refreshers, and coaching sessions on digital solutions.
  • Provide support as needed.
  • Drive the adoption of new ways of working and become an internal digital ambassador.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and skills in the field of digital technologies.

What will make you successful

• Degree in Engineering, Science or relevant background
• Solid experience in process engineering and/or digital manufacturing for food & beverages, FMCG, chemical, oil & gas, or similar.
• Experience in data manipulation, visualization, analysis, and storytelling is essential.
• Knowledge of IT industrial applications such as TrendMiner, Braincube, Google AI tools or similar
• Programming skills in Python and R are preferred,
• Knowledge in data science and predictive control is a strong plus.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, manage expectations and align everyone towards the same goal
• Excellent communication in English and French is a must (written, oral)
