BAT IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR ANALYST ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - PAYMENTS

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Banking Operations Payments Analyst will handle all payments for external vendors and employees, following the internal payment calendar or ad-hoc business needs. This role ensures timely and accurate payments, including taxes, payroll, and sanctioned vendors. Supporting over 200 company codes, the team processes around 2,600 payments monthly. The analyst also performs quality checks, fostering continuous improvement and exceeding Service Level Agreement standards while enhancing financial compliance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- All activities must be performed within tight cut-offs and in alignment with the standard payments calendar. This includes processing ad-hoc requests like emergency and manual payments. The analyst monitors payment statuses and collaborates with external banks, technical teams, local collaborators, and other GBS service lines to ensure successful completion of payments. The analyst also follows SOX and internal control requirements. The analyst also acts as the single point of contact for payment dates, proof of payment, rejection reasons, and central bank requirements.
- Supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the development of new company codes, migration of activities, and implementation of new solutions. Offers assistance with monthly performance metrics for emergency and manual payments, as well as any ad-hoc reports needed.
- Onboarding and documentation for: new joiners within the team, support for payment approvers (including bank account creation), maintain the payments procedures up to date at company code level
- Problem solving approach driven by a passion for ensuring fast reaction in identifying and implementing solutions; Continuously seeking opportunities to simplify processes
Given that only the major responsibilities are stipulated in the above paragraphs, the incumbent has the obligation to fulfil any other responsibilities entrusted to him by the higher hierarchical levels
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in Finance & Accounting in a multinational corporation
- Knowledge of English at an advanced level
- Problem solving and attention to details
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience", with a preference for specialization in Finance
BENEFICIAL
- Experienced user of Microsoft suite of applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Previous experience in using SAP CRM
- Experience in a previous multicultural work environment
