Senior Manager, Supply Marketing Analytics
Introduction to team
The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech.
This Supply Marketing Analytics team is responsible for supporting the Hotel and VRBO (Vacation Rentals) Marketing leaders in their strategic and operational decision-making and in monitoring the overall health of their respective businesses. This will be achieved through (1) building best-in-class operational monitoring tools enabling a full understanding of the causal drivers explaining the underlying performance and (2) leveraging advanced analytics to size and support key strategic marketing initiatives, such as marketing campaigns, A/B testing, audience segmentation and omni-channel optimization.
In this role you will:

Drive agenda/work/priorities on all aspects of supply marketing analytics activities

Lead a team of 5 people

Act as Business Partner to the VP of B2B Marketing and his leadership team by demonstrating end-to-end ownership expertise and supporting fact-based decision-making on strategic and operational aspects

Build a solid partnership with the Marketing team through stellar business acumen and a strong ability to convert best-in-class analysis into actionable insights

Autonomously deliver quality analysis to proactively identify buckets of opportunities

Simplify complex business problem into an analytical framework allowing the team to frame results with key actions linked to an owner

Work closely and efficiently with other partnering teams across Analytics, Engineering, SalesForce, Marketo, Program and Strategy to deliver on business objectives

Drive the data improvement and democratization effort working with all relevant Business Intelligence Development and Engineering teams to ensure that Marketing data is correctly reported across the Hotel & Sales Analytics organization and broader analytical community
Experience and qualifications:
-
You hold a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Science, Statistics or a similar Technical field. Relevant experience is also applicable

Experience as a team leader of 3 or more people

You have relevant experience in analytics for the Hotel industry

Proven working experience in leading transformative operational excellence projects from an analytical front

Strong domain knowledge, business acumen and critical reasoning skills

Applied knowledge of SQL and familiarity of Python, Scala or R, or any other major ML programming language

Experienced in the fundamentals of big data architecture (streaming events, data lakes, analytics engines) and relational database models.
