For our site in Murten, Fribourg, Switzerland we are looking for an Accountant who will support the implementation team of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) financial modules with a focus on General Ledger and Fixed Assets. This person will also support accounting related tasks for our holding company (month-end closings, invoices, calculations, financial statements).
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Support and work closely with the Oracle implementation team
- Support the migration of data from our current system to Oracle
- Perform monthly closings of company books, including consolidation reporting
- Prepare the statutory financial statements of the Swiss legal entity
- Ensure that all day-to-day activities of the company follow SOP/accounting principles
- Prepare monthly and daily financial reports
- Work closely with the local controlling team
- Oversee the AUC cycle: Cost Project Life Management (creation, closure), Capitalization, Ageing monitoring
- Manage fixed assets projects
- Support and liaise with other finance departments and other functions and departments as required
Our requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fields
- Previous work experience in international companies
- Relevant experience of ideally 3 to 5 years in similar positions in a modern manufacturing environment – preferably in the automotive industry
- Having a CPA certification would be an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of finance processes within organizations
- Previous experience of working with ERP systems (preferably in Oracle)
- Excellent English language skills - both written and verbal
- Good knowledge of German (B2 or B3 level)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, challenge others and speak your mind
