Web3 Technologies Foundation’s Legal team is critical to delivering our mission in a thoughtful, compliant and timely manner, while securing our freedom to innovate. The successful candidate will join the team, and work closely with internal and external partners to achieve these goals.

We are a lean team with a flat organisation. Due to the nature of this position, we are only considering candidates who already work in Switzerland (hybrid).

Responsibilities

As part of our  legal team, you will work closely with the finance, security and grants teams to help facilitate and coordinate the contract and data management process. Additionally, you will….

• Develop and implement data management policies and procedures


• Conduct regular audits of data processing activities 


• Work closely with the security team to ensure robust data protection mechanisms are in place


• Maintain detailed records of data collection, storage, processing, and sharing activities


• Serve as the point of contact for data-related queries and concerns


• Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management system for the foundation


• Review and manage all internal contracts and third-party vendor agreements


• Collaborate with different functions to ensure consistent contract management practices


• Provide assistance and support in contract negotiations and amendments


• Work closely with the finance team to track contract-related expenditures and budget impacts


• Prepare reports on contract status, renewals, and compliance for senior management

Requirements

•  A strong foundation in legal studies or business administration, preferably a law student or a paralegal with experience in contract management and data privacy. This position is also open to experienced professionals seeking a flexible position.


• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels within the company


• Ability to apply process improvement and innovation throughout the contracting lifecycle


• Strong tech affinity and attention to detail

A Plus  

• In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)


• Experience working in a startup


• Project management experience


• Familiarity with or a strong interest in the Web 3.0 movement, blockchain and other decentralised technologies
