Your team
This 24-month programme, which comes with a permanent contract, includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring each individual's specific skill set, as well as furthering their development and setting specific objectives.
As a member of our Graduate Programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals. Your initial training will be complemented by a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA or CIIA). Our programme will also enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills required in your future career. The programme will also provide you with the opportunity to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the senior management.
Your role
You will work alongside and learn from experts in investment, private wealth management and risk and compliance. Training coordinators, your assigned mentor and HR will offer regular feedback to enable you to make solid progress and come through the programme with flying colours. You will also attend in-house workshops that provide an understanding of the complex, competitive and constantly changing world of private banking.
At the end of the programme you will have the requisite skills to become a Junior Private Banker in our Zurich office focussing on the Swiss-German market and ready-made network of in-house specialists to tap into.
Your profile
• A Master or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management from a top business school or an equivalent qualification.
• At least six months' and no more than two years’ experience working in finance or marketing/sales for an international company, or in a multicultural environment.
• Thorough in your approach to your work, you should be able to take on the tasks assigned to independently and show perseverance.
• A strong team player with a definite flair for communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Skilled user of the most widely used IT applications (MS Office).
• Fluent in German and English; good command of French and Swiss-German would be a plus.
• Exposure to an international environment, either in a work-related, academic or personal context.
• Strong involvement in extracurricular activities contributing to specifics projects (academic, humanitarian, etc) would be beneficial.
