The Opportunity:

As the Team Lead for Medical Insights Excellence at Astellas, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end global process for Medical Affairs (MA) insights across all priority products and therapeutic areas.

This role requires you to lead the gathering of business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective processes while ensuring data governance standards are maintained. You will oversee the implementation of technology solutions that support insights generation and reporting, develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the overall end-to-end global process for MA insights across all Astellas priority products and therapeutic areas.
  • Lead the gathering of business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective processes.
  • Establish data governance standards to ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of insights.
  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of technology solutions that support insights generation and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of insights processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the agility and responsiveness of insights workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in capturing and using medical insights.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Significant experience within data solutions/analytics.
  • Experience managing multiple strategic and tactical projects.
  • Expertise in data & analytics, application of AI, and implementation of use cases in healthcare organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead the gathering of business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to medical affairs and data governance.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Understanding of global healthcare market dynamics and trends.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives in a large, complex organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • A diversified job in an international setting.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per quarter in our Addlestone office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
