British American Tobacco Pakistan has an exciting opportunity for a Category Data Executive In Lahore
In a fast evolving nicotine category, it is paramount to have a good understanding of the market dynamics in order to provide right business recommendations.
The successful candidate would be expected to be an expert in different data management as the role will have high demand of data transformation, maintenance and accuracy. Good analytical capability would be an asset.
We are looking for someone that has the discipline to deliver reporting activities on time and to a high quality coupled with excellent partner management when interacting with users at senior level, and a hands-on ability to solve problems with the data and build new initiatives for our users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Handle data extraction, ingestion, transformation, quality checks, validation, mapping and standardization.
- Ensure that all data is up to date, gather and document user needs, maintain, improve or create tailored reports and dashboards on request.
- Gather the data in a structured format for the key accounts bi-weekly reporting cycle.
- Support Category Management, Trade Insights and/or Key account teams on all data requests and promote existing report deliverables to ensure information exchange and wider usage.
- Supervision of Data Analysts workflow.
- Proactive escalation of risks and dependencies to management.
- Develop good working relationship with peers within End Market, as well as other functions.
- Find new opportunities for improvement of tools, processes and/or operating model
What are we looking for?
- High level of attention to detail and ability to spot trends and anomalies.
- Expert iin using Excel, Power BI or other tools for data analysis and reconciliation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with senior and other levels of staff in all departments and companies both within the Group and externally.
- Able to handle risks, issues and dependencies and summarise for management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data and analytics in a business analysis, reporting, business support or visualisation role.
- Knowledge of data science (SQL, Python, R), Alteryx and ability to use to query large dataset is a plus; experience with snowflake and azure cloud solution would be an added advantage.
