We are seeking a proactive and motivated Accountant Consolidation & IFRS to join our finance team. This role supports the Head of Consolidation & Master Data in managing the financial consolidation process for the Alpiq Group. We also consider more junior Candidates who are eager to grow with us.
Your main responsibilities
- Support designated group companies in monthly financial reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide guidance to group companies on posting complex business transactions and deliver training on group reporting and consolidation software.
- Collaborate group-wide tasks related to monthly closings, including responsibility for assigned sub-tasks (e.g., intercompany reconciliation).
- Act as a "technical support" resource for users of the reporting tool (SAP BPC), ensuring smooth operations and addressing dependencies with SAP ERP and SAP BW.
- Prepare assigned sections of the IFRS annual and semi-annual reports and collaborate with auditors.
- Contribute actively to cross-departmental and group-wide projects.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance, preferably in an international environment.
- Advanced knowledge of financial consolidation and reporting processes, with foundational knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP ERP, SAP BW, and SAP BPC is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
- Team-oriented, excellent communication skills, and a high level of initiative.
- Fluent in German and English; French is an advantage.
- Nice-to-Have: Interest in or knowledge of automation tools for data validation and reconciliation.
