Job Description Summary
The Strategic Procurement Analyst will work from our Covington, GA site. This individual will be responsible for managing indirect and MRO procurement for BD UCC ensuring the seamless replenishment of critical, today single sourced indirect materials for the different UCC plants. The Strategic Procurement Analyst will work proactively to evaluate and identify supply risks within the UCC sites and supply tiers. They will work cross functionally to develop and execute plans/projects to overcome these pro-actively. This role reports through the BU procurement team, but will work closely with the BOC, the Category Management team, and the UCC plants. This role will support all UCC platforms being Acute, Homecare, Endo and TTM.

Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities:

Use excellent data analytics and project management skills

Understanding multiple business processes and systems

Assure that suppliers are delivering up to expectations
-
Established a robust and sustainable data model for future decision making
-
Correct bill of material discrepancies in coordination with Finance
-
Partner with other business stakeholders to improve the total cost of goods and services

Establishing dual sourcing while leveraging existing BDX buying power
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA a plus
-
At least one year of experience within Procurement or Supply Chain preferred
-
Knowledge of materials, products in the medical industry – Preferred
-
Experience with working with an ERP (SAP, JDE)
-
Strong attention to detail.

Bill of material management experience
-
Demonstrated experience in influence stakeholders and supporting cross-functional teams
-
Experienced problem solver, independent thinker and learner
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with some presentation experience

Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred (Pivots, Macros)

Some traveling to supported sites and suppliers where necessary.

Willingness to connect virtually with the different UCC plants, outside of the standard 8am – 5pm office hours.
