The CLSD (Cell Analysis Division of Agilent) is a multifaceted, rapidly growing division within Agilent. Here in Switzerland, we are a small, motivated team of sales, application specialists and service staff. Our customers are researchers in the life science market, in all sectors, such as academia, pharma as well as biotech start-up. Our portfolio is based on all applications our customers perform in a microtiter plate, be it cell imaging, detection, liquid handling and automation.
As our Sales Area Manager you will sell into and handle the French speaking sales territory for our CLSD Product portfolio (Microplate based instruments, Imaging, Detection, Liquid Handling and Automation).
Your responsibilities:
- Performs demos of the whole CLSD portfolio at customer site with support of FAS.
- Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for the designated territory.
- Identify customers for the products using supplied leads, local exhibits, mailings and account management techniques.
- Qualify all potential customers through needs analysis, budget and purchase authority.
- Develop a thorough solid understanding of the products including design, functionality and operation.
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of typical product applications.
- Participate in trade shows within and outside the territory as assigned by management.
- Run the assigned territory including customer and account record keeping, reporting, time management.
- Maintain daily customer and account record keeping within Agilent CRM database.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in sciences or biology with technical background or knowledge in relevant scientific area (Cell Biology preferred)
- Experience in Microscopy and Microplate Instruments is highly preferred
- Fluent in French and English, German is an advantage
- Strong PC and Microsoft Windows skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Used to CRM environment (familiarity with SalesForce.com is a plus)
- Possess a valid driver’s license
