Job Description
About the role:
As a Senior End to End Supply Chain Planner, you will manage the supply plan of designated brands across the Takeda manufacturing network for all time horizons. Pro-actively takes actions to ensure continuity of supply to patients. You will report to the Supply Chain Lead.
How you will contribute:
- Works with supply planning partners across the organization to deliver the optimal supply plan.
- Responsible for achieving brand-level KPI targets and implementing improvements to meet PTRB commitments and drive financial optimization.
- Responsible for compliance with Takeda global standards. Process adherence, System adherence and Master data completeness.Aggregate global demand for the S&OP horizon (36 months), work with regional partners and relevant demand planners to understand market dynamics and address exceptions. Coordinate with Product Operations Leaders to understand longer-term market assumptions.
- Responsible for signed-off E2E 36-month supply plan of the brand(s) and for facilitating E2E Supply Review, i.e., work with sites, External Supply, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Global Manufacturing Sciences to understand capacities, product variations and market restrictions, to set and update constrained production plans.
- Collaborates and aligns with internal sites and/or Contract Manufacturing Organization Planners in a handover of the master production schedules. Convey the reasons and background of current plan and changes to last plan / financial commitments to these stakeholders and enforce execution of the plan.
- Deliver the Master Production Schedule and further data (e.g., paste usage/mixes) input to local and OpU/Region relevant financial processes.
- Work with Manufacturing strategy to support evolution of network for the asset. Responsible to establish and communicate strategy for end-to-end production planning including dual sourcing between internal and external sites or multiple (external) sites.
- Responsible for long-range capacity planning by creating the link between mid- and long-term horizon. Preparing multiple planning scenarios to aid strategic planning decisions.
- Anticipate, identify, communicate, and resolve demand & supply imbalances. Communicate risks in Pre-S&OP and S&OP escalation forums. Prepare scenarios to address, making recommendations where appropriate. Follow up on all supply-related issues to full resolution.
- Responsible to manage safety stock, budget and working capital, as well as short-term and long-term capacity needs for all nodes of the supply chain. Own inventory development (excess and shortages), take pro-active actions to resolve and mitigate financial write-off and customer service impacts. Use Multi Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO) to optimize inventory/service trade-off at all stages.
- Support execution of Brand Value Stream mapping (Operational horizon 0-36 Months), with the support of expert resources. Assess Brand Value Stream Map to identify risks and opportunities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver year-over-year value creation targets at brand level on core Supply Chain metrics (Inventory, Service Level). Contribute to other brand-level continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive the implementation of standard processes and systems in the team, the digitalization of activity, the compliance with standard ways of working. Responsible to adhere to end-to-end supply chain planning process and to usage of approved Takeda systems.
- Ensure Planning Master Data completeness i.e., data is available and frequently updated.
- Lead / Participate in projects in both direct area of responsibility and outside direct responsibilities, as required.
- Steer the lifecycle management of the portfolio or brand, including participating in projects to ensure long term market supply, lead launch management, geographic expansion activities as well as execute the appropriate rationalization.
- Actively participate in product related teams and represent supply chain perspective in this forum, thereby acting as the link from supply chain to stakeholders in manufacturing, project management, finance, quality, manufacturing science, regulatory and the market. Deliver cut-over supply assessment for all changes that require a regulatory filing.
- Own post-launch changes to legal flows unless otherwise agreed with specific project groups (e.g., in case of site or product divestments/acquisitions).
What you bring to Takeda:
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar, preferably with a focus on Operations, Production Planning or any other related fields that require the proper analysis of a large amount of data.

Certification in supply chain: e.g., APICS, certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification would be ideal.
Technology super-user – Expert user of systems and driver of data governance models such as SAP.
- High competency with Excel and other MS Office apps (PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote), Data Reporting tools (Qlik, Power BI).
- Mathematical abilities.
- Data gathering and an inquisitive nature to spot anomalies or exceptions.
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Min. 10 years experience in supply chain or production planning or related fields employing multi-product, multi-echelon batch production planning.
- Min 3 year's experience in planning with SAP/APO and ideally a strong background in working with IBP.
- Experience in the use of supply chain/advanced planning systems, ERP systems (SAP, C3ME or others).
- Proven track record and expertise in defining and implementing digital strategies across the SC value chain.
- Experience with lean processes and methodology.
- Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives.
