Your role and responsibilities
You are accountable for defining and implementing the sales and marketing strategies for the High-Power Rectifier (HPR) Business Unit (BU) in the assigned geographic region and customers with a focus on Aluminum Industry. This includes ensuring that the Business Line / Division substantially increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction. You manage and lead sales activities (including service) in the defined region and support/manage resolution of specific customer problems.The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Industries division in Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for:• Leading and participating in the developments of sales strategies for the specific customer accounts by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans.• Defining and proposing sales targets for the main customers (Accounts) and ensuring their achievement with a structured follow up process.• Researching and analyzing sales potential relating to OEM’s, metal (mainly Steel), mining, graphite, and Hydrogen / Chemical customers with a special focus on Aluminum segment.• Monitoring industry trends, market activities and competitive environment to identify potential improvements as well as opportunities for new products and solutions. Additionally, establishing and maintaining close dialogue with customer base and key prospects for the purpose of recommending best-in-class solutions (including service) and achieving defined sales targets.
Qualifications for the role
- Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering completed by 5 to 10 years and experience in large-project sales, preferably with a focus on Power-Electronics based solutions
- Quick in acquiring regional knowledge of markets and accounts (based on allocation)
- Solid understanding of aluminum, steel, ferroalloy, electrochemical, graphitization and similar industries
- Good knowledge of electrical, power-electronics and HV power equipment as well as indoor/outdoor substations and requirements related to green- and brownfield plants
- Excellent communication skills and working methods to adapt to various cultures across the continents. Furthermore, strong command of English (C2); Working level in German (beneficial) other foreign-language skills ( French or Spanish)
- Strong sales skills, motivated, flexible, positive attitude, result-oriented and independent with electrical engineering background
- Proven senior stakeholder management with the ability to build and foster relationships up to C-level.
