Your tasks
As an IT Support Specialist I, you will be the first point of contact for users needing technical support, delivering quick and effective solutions to IT issues. You will respond to help desk inquiries, diagnose and resolve problems, and provide support for hardware, software, and network systems. You will also maintain and enhance technical documentation for departmental processes and create user-friendly guides for end users.
By analyzing issue trends, you’ll proactively identify solutions to improve user experiences. Additionally, you will collaborate with local and global support and engineering teams, contributing insights and assisting with related projects.
Work Location: You will manage the sending and receiving of equipment from team members across the country, as well as support equipment needs of our Charleston area team. Therefore, a minimum of three days per week in our Ladson, SC office will be required.
How you will impact Belimed and our clients
Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware technical issues with end users.
Maintain user accounts across multiple platforms including Microsoft 365 and on-premise Active Directory.
Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
Maintain ongoing documentation, including test cases, job aids, checklists
Carry out research to resolve problems and integrate repeated questions into training program
Provide current information to employees concerning computer and software applications
Stay current with the latest changes and best practices as they relate to the organization
What you need to succeed
Associate's degree with a focus in IT
1-2 years of Microsoft 365 Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficiency with the Microsoft ecosystem, including on-premise Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
Strong communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
Effective organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects
Able to work independently in Windows 10, Windows 11, and computer hardware configuration
Self-motivated and eager to learn and share new skills
