The Role
As a Data Engineer for IWG you will
- Contribute to the development of the data strategy and roadmap
- Produce and develop integrated end-to-end data solutions
- Complete assessments to ensure compliance with data protection legislation (ie. GDPR)
- Advise and support on all aspects of data governance
- Document models, diagrams to development teams, architecture review board, and technical leadership
- Be responsible for the development and production support of data integration, automation, and defining pipeline for data integrations
- Explore and research new technologies and perform POCs as needed
- Works as part of a wider team of data oriented professionals that is reporting to the Director of Architecture.
What you’ll need to succeed
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, a Master's degree in information management or equivalent degree and/or experience would be desired. You have at least 2 years of successful experience working in a data engineering role.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Proven experience with Python and SQL
- Extensive experience using ETL tools
- Experience with the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake
- Experience with Databricks
- Knowledge of other data and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
