Global HPP Marketing Intern
Location: Baar, Switzerland
Introduction to role:
Join Alexion’s Global Marketing and Market Access team (GMMA) and be part of an integrated strategy and operations team dedicated to developing disease and brand commercial strategies, global marketing materials, and negotiation strategies. Our team works closely with markets to implement these strategies, ensuring the sustained long-term success of our brands. Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is an inherited, metabolic, rare disease that affects bone mineralization as well as muscle and nervous system function. STRENSIQ is the only approved therapy for patients with hypophosphatasia.
Accountabilities:
As the Global HPP Marketing Intern, you will report to the Global HPP Marketing Partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to advance our goals for STRENSIQ. You will help drive how internal and external stakeholders rethink HPP. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication and project management skills who can formulate independent recommendations, facilitate endorsement, guide implementation, and evaluate success.
You will gain a comprehensive view of the industry, including the commercialization of rare disease medicine and producing marketing materials for use across different health systems.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical plans for STRENSIQ and the HPP franchise, including cross functional execution, in conjunction with Global Commercial, Access, and Medical Teams
- Facilitating regional implementation of brand concepts and messages to help country marketing teams implement concepts, messages, and campaigns
- Preparing materials for correspondence and presentation to commercial, medical and access teams from countries around the world (in person and virtual meetings)
- Engage with the Launch Planning Team to advance go-to-market readiness activities focused on launch of a phase 3 pipeline product
- Participate in the development of market research testing for core marketing concepts & messages to drive brand positioning
- Assist with other central initiatives for the HPP global commercial team
Crucial Skills/Experience
- MA degree – minimum (health science and/or marketing)
- Proficiency in English
- Quick learner mentality
- Proactivity and highly collaborative attitude
- Curiosity about strategic problem-solving
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Previous experiences in a pharma sector
- Proficiency in Spanish/Italian/German or other languages is a plus
