In this role, you will:

As a Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to ensure our data systems are robust, efficient, automated and aligned with business goals. Your expertise will help us derive actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of data from diverse sources.

Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models, ensuring data structures are optimized for performance and usability.

ETL Processes: Develop and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and enhance the performance of data pipelines with recommendation to owners of data systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Data Quality: Implement and enforce data governance practices to maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Technology Stack: Leverage and integrate various technologies and tools, including cloud platforms Azure ADF Databricks and data warehousing solutions and big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

In one of our Data Engineer roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

B.S. degree in computer science or engineering. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and managing data pipelines and infrastructure.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
-
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions.

4+ years’ Experience with cloud platforms Azure and their data services capability like ADF, Databricks.
-
Experience with data modeling and Data Quality tools and methodologies. ‒ Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). ‒ Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.

Possess strong leadership skills and exhibit creative thinking to be able to come up with inventive solutions to solve business challenges.

Self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization.

Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources.

Cultivates networking opportunities within the organization

Broad range of business and IT experiences; Has achieved technical and/or business certification(s).

Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.

Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
