Internship Analytical Method Development (Spectroscopy)

Ferring+You

Within the Center of Expertise Analytical Processes, you will support the development and validation of the next generation of analytical methods for Ferring.

Your day at Ferring

• Support the development strategy based on literature, regulation, and laboratory background.

• Write the relevant documentation (ATP, development protocol, validation protocol/report, procedures...) in the scope of the project.

• Optimize the reference method(s) if needed.

• Source material, perform the experiments according to the defined strategy and protocol.

• Develop a model (PLS or other) to correlate NIR Spectra to the reference analysis, assess the data, optimize parameters, and participate to validation/analytical transfer if possible.

• Participate to the laboratory activities and support the group for other side project.

Currently enrolled in university degree in sciences-related field (Pharmacy, master’s degree, Engineers…) you are available for a 6-month internship, starting in August or September 2024:

• Theorical and practical knowledge in analytical chemistry and more particularly in Spectroscopy (IR, NIR, UV) and Karl Fischer.

• Theorical knowledge, interest, and ideally a first experience, in multivariate analysis, statistic & mathematic applied to chemistry (chemometrics).

• First on-hand experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory would be preferred.

• Leadership, autonomous, dynamic and at ease in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Self-starter, pragmatic, result-oriented and team-player.

• Good written and oral communication in English & French is essential.
