Job Description Summary
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

The System Integrator for Plants & System (P&S) will be responsible for the technical project execution in bringing together components into a whole and ensuring that those subsystems operate together in an optimized way.
He / She shall be responsible for coordination between the technical departments and the project team. He / She shall ensure that the technical choices are made to secure product overall cost and performances, and that engineering deliverables are made available as per project needs.
He/ She will be involved from project kick off to unit completion, covering engineering, procurement, erection and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Drives project technical development for his/her product, securing execution while creating opportunities.
Analyses customer requirements and project needs, including interfaces between the different teams
Coordinates activities between internal and external stakeholders
Manages and harmonizes the technical documentation and interface data with partners
Manage interfaces between several P&S packages and Generator, Turbine, MIV
Is the single point of contact for internal and external customers for his / her scope – acting as the product’s technical face.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Automation, Electronics and Instrumentation with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience
Knowledge in hydro-power plant P&S design
Relevant experience in planning and management of work-packages.
Knowledge of control system hardware and software design & working experience in GE-Mark6e, Rockwell /Allen Bradley, Siemens PLCs, HMIs and SCADA
Good communication skills in both Portuguese and English
