Director of MSc Program on Hospitality, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Permanent contract / Glion, Switzerland

Responsibilities:
Academic Design, Delivery, and Quality Assessment:
- Design, develop, and deliver the Master
program in line with GIHE's strategic objectives and portfolio
- Define, implement, and validate program
content, including credits, course descriptions, delivery methods,
assignments, field trips, Business Research Project, and internships
- Ensure the academic quality of the program by
providing and validating academic documents (e.g., Academic Catalogue,
Faculty Handbook, Program Specification, Course Descriptions)
- Lead the
Progression Panel
- Monitor and enhance the quality of the
teaching and learning environment using tools like Moodle
- Gather feedback from the team, students, and
faculty to create action plans for continuous program enhancement
- Provide educational guidelines and support to
internal faculty and visiting lecturers, including academic onboarding,
course preparation assistance, and feedback analysis in liaison with the
Associate Dean of Master Programs
- Create and build valuable business networks by
actively seeking and selecting visiting lecturers and managing business
networking partnerships
- Actively participate in program
accreditations
- Define and manage budget needs and
requirements for delivering the MSc program
- Maintain effective communication with all
stakeholders, including the Associate Dean of Master Programs, Program
Directors, Faculty, and Academic Administration
- Promote the program through videos,
interviews, school presentations, conferences, and article production
- Contribute to and co-validate brochures with the Marketing Team
- Present the program during Open/Taster Days
Student Support:
- Interview prospective students and provide
information to the IE team to support students before joining the program
- Act as a role model and mentor to students,
providing support and guidance both on and off-campus
- Manage groups of students during on-campus and
off-campus activities
- Address and manage student issues
- Define and participate in the content of the
induction week with the Program Coordinator
- Conduct regular debriefings with students in
collaboration with the Program Coordinator
- Connect students with the Alumni network
- Provide support and insights to students
seeking internships when requested
Teaching Responsibility:
- Teach courses within the director’s area of
expertise, including field trips and the Business Research Project
- Grade student reports, including internship
reports and Business Research Projects, when applicable
Research Conduct and Development:
- Promote and support research activities within
the MSc program, encouraging both faculty and students to engage in
research projects
- Integrate research findings and methodologies
into the curriculum to enhance academic rigor and relevance
- Seek and secure funding opportunities for
research projects related to the program
- Encourage and facilitate the publication of
research findings in reputable academic journals and conferences
- Develop partnerships with industry and
academic institutions to foster collaborative research projects
Profile and experiences:
- PhD in relevant field
- Professional managerial experience in the
field
- Record
of conducting rigorous academic research and/or significant researchs
- Demonstrated leadership skills and impact in
an academic setting
- Autonomous, pragmatic and entrepreneurial
- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, and fluency in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated ability to work with
multicultural teams and in an international environment
- Experience with and understanding of use of
technology in education support teaching and learning
- Highly
developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
