Summary
The Demand Planning Expert position is responsible for supporting all forecasting activities and basic forecast modeling. The Demand Planner supports the establishment of forecast models for their respective categories, incorporating business intelligence, new product launches and forecast information gathered from multiple sources. They enhance a standardized demand planning process approach and are responsible for driving the consensus forecasts in the Demand Reviews. The person in this position is tasked with using data insights to improve forecast accuracy.
What will you be doing?

Using analytics, handling designated product portfolio.

Supporting the development of demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

Reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results to identify areas for improvement as well as potential risks.

Providing input to volume planning by monitoring trends in forecast error, working with the commercial team to reduce the error and coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Collaborating with marketing and sales on portfolio changes to ensure the forecast reflects new product launches as well as changes to existing products.

Applying a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain partners to acquire and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

Using the relevant planning software as the primary forecasting system tool and updating forecasts with applicable supply constraints.

Providing volume input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

Making recommendations to enhance business processes and see opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
Qualifications we are looking for

Knowledge and experience in demand planning processes, techniques and methodologies.

Ability to build relationships across different parts of the organization: commercial, sales, marketing, product development, finance and manufacturing, related to the segment they are planning for, e.g., product lines, business unit, region, etc.

Business domain experience in the supported process and technology (RapidResponse and Tableau) areas (nice to have).

Have advanced mathematical and/or statistical abilities, including forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

University Degree required with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in supply chain planning.

Knowledge of software related to demand planning and APICS certification is preferred.

Proficient English is a must.
