The Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the operational management of the Export Warehouse Switzerland (CDC), including both inbound and outbound logistics, as well as packaging. The role involves leadership and development of all employees in the relevant areas. Focused on the continuous improvement and standardization of all Warehouses (WHO) processes and workflows while adhering to customer and country requirements. The role involves close collaboration with various functions within the Straumann Group to deliver excellent service across all aspects of the logistics chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing processes to increase efficiency and achieve higher standardization/automation in the WHO areas, with a clear focus on optimal service.
- Responsibility for budgeting, cost control, investments, and capacity planning.
- First-line support for all RA/QA issues in the logistics area, including ERs.
- Responsible for process and equipment validation in the WHO area.
- Responsible for the preparation and execution of internal and external audits.
- Supervising WM warehouse management processes and prioritization of pending orders in collaboration with the distribution team.
- Responsible for maintaining the SAP master data (structure and consistency) in the WHO area.
- Workforce and vacation planning in collaboration with the various WHO team leaders.
- Responsible for the QM processes in the WHO area, including cold and temperature-critical products as well as storage and shipping of goods.
- Conducting inventory checks and shelf-life controls (product expiration dates).
- Participation in WHO-related projects.
Education / Professional Experience
- Experience in process optimization.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PPT, and Word.
- Key-user knowledge of SAP MM and SD modules, and Business Warehouse.
- Experience in managing a medium-sized team.
- Experience with quality systems and writing SOPs according to GxP standards.
- Competency to handle internal and external audits (e.g., TÜV, FDA, KFDA, etc.) successful-ly.
