SUMMARY OF THE JOB
- Participating in the full process design starting from early project stages supporting feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED and EPC to position CO2 capture technologies and solutions
- Performing engineering tasks, simulations for part or the entire CO2 capture process
- Propose safe, sound, innovative and optimized technical solutions providing short to long term competitive technical as well as financial (Capex/Opex) advantages
- Executing process engineering tasks in the context of CCUS projects and its IWWT systems, in compliance with all applicable safety and process design standards
- Contributing to the evaluation and promotion of new process technologies, and to the improvement of Holcim process design standards

- Proposing, in the field of process engineering, safe, innovative, and optimized solutions.
- Identifying and managing process interfaces with existing facilities.
- Preparing and issuing a process statement for each project.
- Incorporating all applicable safety and process design standards on technical scope of the projects
- Participating and contributing to the design reviews (safety in design, construction, operability, and maintainability)
- Providing support and expertise to the project teams for trouble shooting during commissioning participating to performance tests
- Conducting a process watch with suppliers and proposing new process.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Level of education/qualifications normally required:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree, in Industrial Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Specific work experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IWWT projects or equivalent
Technical / functional skills:
- Technical leadership in IWWT of CC plant concept development, project scoping and project bid proposal evaluation.
- Knowledge in specific chemical process simulation software for water.
- Manufacturing background e.g., industrial water treatment in the petrochemical industry, industrial gas production industry or similar.
- Knowledge in IWWT plant process, technology selection, plant design, engineering (pre-FEED and FEED Studies), project execution, commissioning, operation.
- Knowledge of main process equipment technology, economical valuation of different technologies and associated risks.
Language skills:
- Capable to professionally communicate and negotiate in English.
- Other languages is a plus.
Mobility requirements:
- Frequent business-related travels to project/supplier premises and construction sites or plants.
