The Head of Design Apparel leads a team of talented designers in HQ & MASO as well as the development lab team and is responsible for generating designs that are loved by Mammut consumers. The role develops the team through inspiration, creative energy and mentors the individuals to unlock their career potential. The role will work cross functionally with Head of Design Equipment & Footwear, Head of Apparel and individuals across the department developing products through the critical path. This role is responsible for conceiving the creative direction both of the seasons but also in the overarching Design Philosophy. Ensuring that design process is followed in order to create iconic Mammut products. The role requires an individual with a high creative talent and foresight. Adventurous in spirit and innovative in approaching designs, process and solutions.

Team
- Inspire and motivate individuals to create against the design briefs
- Mentor for the betterment of their careers
- Lead seasonal creative workshops and strategies
- Develop a design team culture that ensures Mammut leads in its ambitions
- Maintain and develop freelance talent where needed
- Lead team in GTM meeting presentations and represent apparel and creative design for Mammut
- Understand and develop teams knowledge of design team best practice
- Work to ensure Mammut is at the forefront of Responsible Performance Design
- Develop and own seasonal creative direction and color cards
- Lead team in understanding of design philosophy and process
- Translate Macro and Micro trends into creative direction
- Work with external agency and input where necessary
- Develop creative direction & lead design process for collabs
- Responsible for leading the team to meet design element of brief margin
- Good understanding of margin management and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with Head of Apparel to realize target margins
- Operates at ease across the organization
- Demonstrates a love for design and design language
- High level of attention to detail
- High level of people management skills
- Well developed analytical and positive to criticisms of new designs
- Color card creation and development
- 8-10 Years of relevant experience
- Exceptional skills regarding CMF (color material finish) and shape
- Adobe CS package
- Written and spoken English
- Additional experience in Browzwear or Clo3D an advantage
