Position Summary
As a Global Brand Design Lead, you will be working to ensuring brand identity, packaging, and related assets drive growth for our brands. You will provide guidance and expert input for global strategic design initiatives, emphasizing high-quality brand identity, guidelines, and packaging, and collaborate with global agency partners to develop effective design solutions for our iconic brands. You will play a key role in developing and influencing our standards and governance in relation to brand identity and design development. Additionally, you will be responsible for coaching and training internal design roles, ensuring best practices within our design organization, as well as equipping and inspiring our Global Agency Partners with our internal strategic design tools and ways of working. Finally, you will act as domain expert to contribute to process and digital tool transformations to improve effectiveness and efficiency in design globally.
This position will provide you with the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders at a high level and directly engage with our Global Chief Marketing Officer (reporting line into the Global Head of Design who reports into Global Chief Marketing Officer).

A Day in the Life of a Global Brand Design Lead
- Partner with Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Zone and Category Leadership to guide the development of strategic brand identity and packaging design initiatives
- Own the evolution of fundamentals, tools, and ways of working related to brand identity, visual communications, and packaging design
- Act as design champion for our brand building and design communities, inspiring with internal and external thought leadership
- Drive design initiatives in collaboration with Communication Leaders within the Business Units and Zones
- Establish and maintain effective and mutually beneficial partnerships with global design agencies
- Craft and strengthen governance and process guidance to drive holistic approaches to design within the Group
- Present with authority to various internal and external stakeholder groups on the topic of design
- Play a leading role in elevating brand design understanding and knowledge throughout the Group to ensure Marketing communities value and can apply brand design principles effectively
- Own best practice for guiding brand design excellence in packaging design, leveraging Powerful Packaging and its hero principles
- Evaluate processes and establish best practices and build a sense of community to drive collaboration, effectiveness and efficiency across the Global Design community and with internal/external partners
What will make you successful
- University degree in Design or a related field preferred
- Between 13-15 years' experience in brand design, collaborating with large FMCG global brands to develop and implement design changes in the areas of Brand Identity and Packaging Design
- Substantial experience in design agencies, focusing on strategic planning and/or art direction
- Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, managing agency relationships
- Focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and innovation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization
- Excellent level of written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages is an asset
