Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:

Be the point of contact for both complex transactions contemplated in the region (e.g. restructurings, supplier contracts, derivatives, M&A, leases, etc.) as well as other areas of technical accounting (e.g. controls, financial reporting, and auditing) alongside the Sector Controller.

Be the lead in Corporate reporting matters (Financial Rep Letter, Pre and Post Quarter review with Corporate Controller, 10K etc)

Partner with senior business leaders to drive agenda and activities of the Controls and Compliance Steering Committees as well as other quarterly and monthly governance teams.

Involve in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process to understand and evaluate accounting and reporting integrity.

Review Sector Balance sheet and participate in ABU Balance sheet review process

Oversight of the Balance sheet review process in conjunction with GBS
-
Help lead the internal control function to ensure controls in the region are robust and efficient, and that strong controls are implemented for business migrations and IT/robotics implementations.

Support Sector Controller in developing the Internal Control annual plan and drive its execution

Forge a strong direct working relationship with the Country Controllers in the sector.

Support Global Internal Controls team to design and implement globally standard processes and controls

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Extensive working knowledge of technical accounting (including US GAAP), controls and controls frameworks, SOX, audit processes across multiple territories, financial accounting and reporting, and statutory financial statement production.

Experience in a multinational company (FMCG useful, but not essential).

Broad business acumen and analysis skills.
-
Chartered Accountant or it’s equivalent with 15+ years of post qualification experience
-
Prior experience of managing team
