As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable.
The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing propulsion and energy storage solutions which are modular, lightweight, and certifiable.
Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a major enabler in the electric commuter market.
About the role
In the frame of its product development (Electric Propulsion System and Modular Battery Pack), H55 is searching for a Model Based Engineer.
You will report to the Software Team Leader.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing model-based software in accordance to requirements to meet DO-178 / DO-331 certification objectives,
- Establishing a model-based software architecture that fulfill full model and code coverage,
- Participate in simulation and test procedures using MIL, SIL and HIL to verify the functionality, safety, and compliance of the model-based software,
- Prepare simulation cases and test result report suitable for requirement validation and verification,
- Participate in maintaining company Standards and Processes.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in System Dynamics and Control, Aircraft, Space, Electrical and Electronics engineering, or related field,
- At least 2 years experience in Aviation industry
- Experience in design, simulation, testing, and debugging using Matlab Simulink products,
- Experience in MIL, SIL and HIL Testing,
- Ability to express design with requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Fluent English, French is a plus, but not mandatory
- Knowledge about DO-331, DO-178, ARP-4754 and ARP-4761 standards or guidelines to be able to interpret the safety impact of the software at the system level.
- Experience with Battery Management System,
- Experience with Motor Controller,
- Familiarity with the DO-Qualification kit and related toolboxes of Matlab-Simulink
