JOB SUMMARY:
This role will lead the BD Alaris System Remediation Program and be accountable for executing the strategic direction for this critical program. This role will lead, coach, and engage a broad cross functional team (direct and matrix) to deliver customer focused solutions to meet our compliance and customer commitments. The role is accountable for all aspects of the Remediation Program execution including compliance, service, operations, supply chain, and go to market and works closely with cross functional leaders to deliver to expectations, build sustainability of new processes and governance, and problem solve issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remediation
- Lead a cross functional team to execute the remediation strategy that is executed on-time and aligned with FDA standards. Responsible for submitting timely quarterly reports to FDA.
- Responsible for meeting the remediation commitments and KDGs every month, including # of units remediated in an efficient and compliant manner with optimized costs.
- Lead any potential queries from FDA on remediation reports that are submitted and effectively address them in a timely manner.
- Ensures that remediation pace stays per plan over the 3-year period through strong demand and supply funnels.
- Ensures that health equity ratio of accounts remediated is maintained at a healthy level.
- Proactively identify any risks associated with on-time execution of the remediation program and partner with the necessary stakeholders to minimize impact.
- Assess and develop remediation strategies for optimized and efficient execution to increase pace of remediation while reducing costs.
- Work with governing leadership team to assess continuous improvement opportunities or revise strategic direction while maintaining the confines of FDA compliance commitments.
- Demonstrates customer centric behaviors, establishes leadership credibility and a track record of achievement in delivering this large complex project and influences business outcomes.
- Communicates messages with clarity and conciseness for a global audience at established forums like Alaris SteerCo and Commercial SteerCo with XLT.
- Shows intellectual curiosity and cultivates innovation to include making efficiency improvements as a way of doing business and to accelerate the pace of change.
- As the remediation project ebbs and flows, further responsibilities will be assigned.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Responsible for communication excellence and crisis management in situations of Alaris System field actions (e.g. recalls)
- Plan for product end-of-life/end-of-service (EOL/EOS) announcements.
Portfolio Optimization Planning
- Evaluation and planning for product and part simplification strategies (e.g. RECODE), risk analysis and revenue and customer impact.
- May work with product managers and cross functional core team members to evaluate opportunities and validate technical viability.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
BA / BS. Degree Required; Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 7 years progressive product management and project management experience in a highly regulated environment. PMP certification preferred.
- Proven success in working cross functionally to drive execution and delivery, systemic problem solving, and establishing processes or governance models to ensure sustainability.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Operational understanding of the BD Functions and ability to work across all commercial regions, manufacturing, service, regulatory, quality, finance and platform teams.
- Strong leadership presence and courage with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action, problem solve, lead decision making, and facilitate successful and effective project implementation.
- Execution excellence including planning, organization of work and people, and ability to accelerate the pace of completing priorities to meet commercial and compliance expectations. Strong prioritization abilities and aligning large teams to such prioritization.
- Demonstrates strategic agility to develop and implement remediation strategies and implement innovative problem-solving approaches when faced with challenges.
- Experience with managing a complex product portfolio (e.g. capital systems inclusive of electromechanic devices, software solutions, and related consumables).
