The Position

The Basel Drug Substance manufacturing organization is responsible for the production of commercial biotech active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, e.g., Avastin, Tecentriq, or Vabysmo) in modern and highly automated production facilities.
An integral part of achieving our 10-year ambition is implementing new and innovative digital solutions to increase operational efficiency and radically simplify our daily work. Within the Unit Manufacturing Technology & Support, the Process Automation & Digital chapter is responsible for digital transformation and implementing digital solutions to support our large molecule drug substance site in Basel.
As a Digital Application Manager, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for owning and driving the digital roadmap within the site. Your role involves evaluating and quantifying the value of implemented digital use cases and creating robust business cases for future digital applications. You will lead the deployment of new applications and bring the value realization of digital use cases to scale through the business.
The Opportunity

Vision Translation: Translate the digital vision into actionable business opportunities and support the digital roadmap to meet consumer needs

Digital Roadmap Ownership: Develop, maintain, and effectively communicate the strategic digital roadmap aligned with business needs

Strategic Partnerships: Align the digital roadmap with business processes and global stakeholders, translating business value and user feedback into data products

Business Case Development: Create compelling business cases for new digital applications, identifying potential benefits, consumers, costs, risks, and timelines according to strategic priorities. Convert business objectives into technical specifications, collaborating with technical stakeholders during development

Deployment Leadership: Lead the deployment of new digital applications from concept to implementation. Define success criteria and KPIs for digital solutions to track their effectiveness and impact. Continuously measure and improve the value of digital solutions to ensure they achieve desired outcomes.
Who you are

Product Delivery and Roadmap Development: Extensive knowledge and experience in managing product delivery and developing roadmaps.

Analytical and Translational Skills: Proficient in analyzing business objectives and requirements, and translating them into user stories and data design features.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Highly effective in cross-functional collaboration, teamwork, and individual contribution. Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts clearly, with experience in stakeholder management and engagement.

Educational and Work Background: Degree of higher education in Informatics (data sciences, data engineering or business informatics) or Engineering (or equivalent) and substantial experience in working in a GxP environment for the biopharmaceutical industry, with fluency in German and English.
