Ärztekasse Genossenschaft develops together with its partners and suppliers software for health professionals. As an Infrastructure Security & System Engineer, you will enhance and secure the products for doctor offices, patient billing and eHealth services.
Our delivery organization is distributed and complex, leveraging our data centers with virtualized environments, including both Debian and Windows systems. We are looking for experienced engineers to assess and improve the security of our infrastructure components, contributing to the next generation of our products and eHealth services.
Main Tasks
- Assess and harden the security of virtual machines, including Debian and Windows systems.
- Implement security best practices for system configurations, hardening and patch management.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and execute remediation efforts.
- Create and update security configurations and procedures for infrastructure components.
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure for security incidents and coordinate with the Incident Response Coordinator.
- Deploy and configure secure infrastructure components in collaboration with system engineers and operations teams.
- Secure and manage Kubernetes clusters within our infrastructure.
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to infrastructure components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in infrastructure security or system administration with a security focus.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux security best practices.
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes (k8s) and container orchestration.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools and techniques.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Passion for out-of-the-box thinking to design custom solutions for challenges faced.
- Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Innovative mindset and passion for developing impactful eHealth solutions.
- English is required.
- German or French is a plus.
