Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play an integral part in our leadership team as well as lead our Engineering team at Hyde Bodrum. You will be:
- Providing a high level of property maintenance knowledge.
- Responsible for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
- Leading a team of Engineering professionals, with the assistance of an Engineering Manager
- Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintaining standards and regulatory requirements.
- Managing contractors.
- Ensuring the hotel upholds WH&S and fire safety responsibilities.
- Leading the emergency response for all facility issues.
- Auditing and reporting as required.
- Managing project work ensuring timelines are met.
- University degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior engineering operations position or 3+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry.
- Working knowledge of engineering and construction records management. principles and procedures, as well as a detailed experience with capital and operating budgeting procedures.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt as necessary, while taking initiative.
- Highly organized and process oriented, while displaying and ensuring accountability of self and team members.
