This is what you will do:
The Scientific Engagement Coordinator is a role based in one of the Alexion R&D Hubs, who will support the ESE team in planning, coordinating, and executing scientific engagement activities. This role is critical in ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external key stakeholders.
She/he will ensure full compliance with the end to end process for HCP engagements in close cross functional collaboration with compliance, legal and medical affairs at global and local levels, to ensure all ethical and legal requirements are met for proper HCP engagements.
The Scientific Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Head of External Scientific Engagement, Global R&D Hub in Barcelona.
You will be responsible for:
- Assist in planning and organizing scientific meetings, symposia, conferences, and webinars.
- Support the team in conducting literature reviews and gathering scientific insights relevant to our therapeutic areas.
- Analyze scientific insights and data to provide meaningful input for engagement strategies and decision-making.
- Utilize data science and analytics techniques to derive insights from scientific and medical data, contributing to evidence-based engagement strategies.
- Assist in insight reporting and the preparation of materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the team in the management of relationships with external experts, key opinion leaders, and scientific organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy in scientific engagement initiatives.
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably in a scientific or healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
