What you'll do:
As a Senior Compliance Officer specialising in Physical Commodities at our client's firm, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance on compliance matters relating to Physical Metals trading. Your expertise will be vital in managing operational aspects of the Compliance programme. You will keep abreast of global physical commodities and financial regulations and provide valuable insights. Your responsibilities will also encompass overseeing various onboarding processes and conducting comprehensive risk assessments. As part of your role, you will formulate policies for the broader compliance programme and ensure their adherence. Acting as a Regulatory liaison will also be a key aspect of your role.
• Provide guidance on compliance matters relating to Physical Metals trading, including mining, trading, warranting, warehousing, transport, and hedging of base, precious, and concentrates.
• Assist in managing the operational, reporting, and risk related aspects of the Compliance programme.
• Monitor, respond to, and provide advice on global physical commodities and financial regulations.
• Oversee the vendor, broker, product, and new markets onboarding processes and associated due diligence.
• Conduct risk assessments, including conduct, financial crime, and money laundering risk assessments.
• Formulate policies as part of the broader compliance programme and monitor adherence to these policies.
• Act as Regulatory liaison interacting with regulators, examiners, and auditors.

• 7+ years Compliance experience surrounding physical metals trading including production, trading, warehousing and transportation.
• Experience in developing and implementing suitable compliance programmes.
• Experience of establishing and obtaining required licenses.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment managing multiple complex priorities independently.
• Strong judgement skills with crisis and risk management abilities.
