Software Engineer US
How you will contribute
This position will be responsible for the independent processing of projects in the area of Software Engineering - Life Science. In addition, the software engineer will be in constant exchange with the software engineering teams at the Switzerland and Slovenia sites.
Realization of concepts and customer-specific requirements based on the given order specification and functional descriptions.
Creation of PLC and HMI software according to the QA guidelines "Manual for Software Quality
Responsibility for the project management of the entire automation part
Development of software documentation and customer documents (e.g. design documents, instructions)
Commissioning of systems in the factory or at the customer, supervision of test runs
Coordination of the various interfaces to customer DCS and visualization systems
Participation in further development of products with regard to control technology
Support of the automation part (software) of retrofits on existing plants
Support of the customer service by telephone support and employment at the customer world-wide
Support of the sales department in the field of automation, technical customer consultation
Participation in training and further education for customers and internal employees
What you will need
Basic training in electrical engineering, as well as a degree as an electrical engineer or technician specializing in electrical engineering/automation.
Profound knowledge in programming of PLC controls, advantage with RSLogix and FactoryTalk, as well as knowledge of VISIWIN, Siemens WinCC / WinCC flex, and Siemens S7 (TIA-Portal)
Knowledge of the programming languages: (high-level languages), FBD, IL, SCL and Letter
Several years of experience in plant/machine or apparatus engineering
Knowledge of German is an advantage but not required
Responsible and structured way of working, as well as communicative and team-oriented personality
Willingness to travel
