About ANAXAM

ANAXAM is a technology transfer center that was founded in 2019 by the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI, the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, the Swiss Nanoscience Institute SNI and the Canton of Aargau. ANAXAM enables industry to benefit from innovative analytical methods using neutron and synchrotron radiation, based on large-scale research facilities, for the development and optimization of new products or processes.

Your tasks

Where industrial and scientific know-how come together you are responsible for:·

  • guiding and coordinating cross-method and cross-subject collaboration projects
  • design and conduction of experiments at large-scale facilities in close collaboration with the instrument scientists
  • responsible for data evaluation and result interpretation
  • supporting the development of tailor-made infrastructure for experiments
  • acquiring new projects  

Your profile

You bring the enthusiasm to work on new topics in a customer-oriented technology transfer environment and you have:

  • a PhD degree in the field of materials science, engineering, chemistry, physics or related subject area
  • competences using spectroscopy at synchrotron facilities for the characterization of material properties
  • experience and/or willingness to work with industrial customers
  • proven experience in project management
  • fluent in English and understanding German is mandatory
