The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist in power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after-sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS). It is our goal to offer excellent solutions for our customers and society.
Our unit handles extensions, retrofits, and maintenance of substations, including training, installation, and troubleshooting. You'll join an international team where we support each other and grow together. In this dynamic role, you'll lead and motivate your team to deliver service projects successfully. How you’ll make an impact

Lead a project team in Switzerland with 6+ Service Project Managers

Ensure successful project execution to meet technical, scope, time, cost, and customer satisfaction goals

Align team members' business targets and personal development goals with overall unit objectives

Identify upselling opportunities, manage risks, claims, and invoicing

Own and improve Project Management sub-processes. Ensure that processes are documented, and team members are trained

Oversee the execution of your own customer projects from sales handover to project completion

Share success stories, and learnings with the team, and proactively lead continuous improvement initiatives
Your background

Combines a technical education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with commercial training

Possesses first-hand experience in customer project management or equivalent roles, ideally in a service environment; a PM certification would be beneficial

Ideally has first leadership experiences with the ambition to expand them

Demonstrates a positive mindset and a constructive approach when confronted with complex or urgent challenges

Business fluent in English, with additional languages, particularly German, as a plus

Exhibits excellent communication skills with the ability to lead in an intercultural and dynamic environment

Technical expertise in general, particularly in GIS or GCB, would be an asset
