The opportuntiy
We are seeking a motivated and skilled R&D engineer to join our R&D Module team. This team focuses on developing new semiconductor power module technologies and products for different markets, from the initial design phase through to final qualification and product release.

How you will make an impact

Evaluate and Implement New Technologies: Investigate and apply new joining methods and materials in power semiconductor modules, ensuring they meet qualification standards.

Project Management: Oversee projects and sub-projects focused on product development to enhance quality, performance, and cost efficiency.

Design Assessment: Generate and evaluate designs for reliability and manufacturability through both experimental methods and modeling/simulation.

Prototype Development: Create prototypes and early-stage demonstrators.

Documentation and Publication: Document development work, publish findings in journals and conferences, and contribute to inventions and patents related to power semiconductor modules.

Collaboration: Work closely with multiple internal departments, research institutions, and international suppliers as development partners.
Your background
-
Degree in material science, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline.

Strong interest in high-tech products and complex topics, with a drive to enhance products through innovation.

Expertise in joining methods such as soldering, welding, sintering, and bonding techniques.

Hands-on experience with experimental work and familiarity with manufacturing processes, ideally in power module packaging.

Preferably some industry experience in the high-tech field, though talented graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Knowledge of thermal, electrical, and mechanical simulation is advantageous.

Proficiency in English is required; German is a plus.
